FilmMaker Pow-Wow: An Evening of Community, Problem Solving and Inspiration

In the life of every film (and filmmaker) there comes that moment (or two), when you feel a little bit in limbo, when you have a bottleneck on your project and you know someone else has figured out. You just don’t know where to find them! OR, you just wish you had a group of peers you could bounce your ideas off of and inspire you.

This pow-wow is for filmmakers who are working on a specific project. It could be at any stage but it must be something YOU ARE ACTIVELY WORKING ON. Come share where you are feeling stuck, get suggestions from people who have encountered similar problems, or simply get inspired. This is both a brainstorming and an accountability group. The evening will conclude with a check in about ideas that can be implemented.

The conversation will be moderated, but this evening is about tapping into the collective intelligence of a group of peers, who are doing similar things in isolation. Our goal is to build a robust community of women filmmakers through Film Powered who can continue to meet regularly in a safe space to let our creativity spring into action. (We will meet at a coffee shop or diner, so please be prepared to purchase something to thank them for their support of our work!)

If the evening is full, please email us and we'll let you know if a spot opens up.
