Join us for an intimate talk with Nancy St. John where we will explore the role of a VFX Producer.

DiscoveringVFX is an event series designed to foster relationships between filmmakers and visual effects professionals.  It is designed to teach ways filmmakers can affordably incorporate visual effects into their future projects and also how to maintain sustainable relationships with professionals who make them happen. 

Nancy St. John is a pioneer in shaping the role of visual effects in the film industry we know today.  Her path to becoming a VFX Producer runs in parallel with the beginnings of digital visual effects.

Her recent work includes Academy Award winning films Babe and Gladiator, the Netflix series Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Ghostbusters, I-Robot, James & the Giant Peach, Life Aquatic, Charlotte’s Web, Limitless, Total Recall, Resident Evil and Ender’s Game.

She has also been a visual effects consultant to many Studios including Disney, DreamWorks, Fox, HBO, Paramount, Walden Media, Warner Bros., Relativity Media, Oddlot Entertainment and Lionsgate.  Nancy is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Producers Guild of America, and The Visual Effects Society.
